A rectangular table makes the most of a long terrace or the space along a wall, and seats the most people for its width.

A rectangular table gives the most usable surface for its footprint and sits neatly along a wall or the edge of a terrace. An oval table has softer ends, which makes it easier to walk around in a narrower space.

Our extending tables use two leaves, and the size changes in seconds. The 2–3m table is pre-drilled for a parasol, with a flush-fitting teak stake, and has radially arranged slats so that it dries quickly after rain.

Yes. Teak is a dense, oil-rich hardwood that resists sun, moisture, insects and decay, so a teak table can stay outdoors all year, from Mediterranean summers to continental frost. Left untreated, teak weathers to a silver-grey patina over six to twelve months.
To keep the original colour, apply a teak sealer and re-apply it every 9 to 12 months. Avoid teak oil, which can darken the wood and encourage mould. Our European teak care guide explains both options.
