Bench Garden Set FAQs
A bench garden set pairs a teak table with one or more benches, either instead of or alongside individual chairs. The Belgravia Teak Bench Dining Set is a full dining set, and larger teak garden furniture sets combine stacking chairs with San Francisco benches.
Benches seat people more flexibly, which is useful for children or for fitting in an extra guest, and they tuck neatly against the table when not in use. Chairs give each person their own back support. Many of our sets combine the two.

As a guide: a 90cm square or 120cm round table seats four, a 150cm round table seats six, a 180cm round table seats eight, a 180–240cm extending table seats eight to ten, and a 2–3m extending table seats ten to twelve.

Most of our sets are supplied with cushions, and the product title says so where they are included. Our cushions are shower-resistant rather than fully waterproof, so store them indoors in extreme weather and let them dry fully before use. Hand wash only, with cold or lukewarm water and mild soap.
New teak can transfer natural oils to fabric in its first weeks, so avoid leaving cushions on damp timber overnight. Our cushion care guide explains how to prevent and remove marks.
Yes. Teak is a dense, oil-rich hardwood that resists sun, moisture, insects and decay, so a teak bench set can stay outdoors all year, from Mediterranean summers to continental frost. Left untreated, teak weathers to a silver-grey patina over six to twelve months.
To keep the original colour, apply a teak sealer and re-apply it every 9 to 12 months. Avoid teak oil, which can darken the wood and encourage mould. Our European teak care guide explains both options.
